Nepal
- 9N7WL 2m EME Activity 2011
9N7WL

The 9N7WL
2m EME operation took place as part of the 9N7AN
activity from the High View Resort in
Dhulikhel, which is located about 25 km from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

This was the first time that the DXCC entity Nepal and the Maidenhead
main locator NL was activated on the 2m band via the moon!

EME operation started on March 31th,
2011. Because of PC soundcard problems decoding of the JT65b
signals was very difficult. Complete contacts were made with DF7KF
(first EME QSO from Nepal), I2RV and DF2ZC.

In
total 91 different stations were contacted via the moon with complete
information exchange and without internet support (internet access was
not available at the 2m shack). PC clock was
synchronised by a GPS watch. During the EME operation the moon
was not visible at all! The antenna was pointed to the moon with the
help of a compass and a "Lidl spirit level" (built according to the description on PA3FPQ´s website, tnx!).
